How to Plan a Set of Art Prints

Two or three prints can make a room feel connected. Before choosing a size, think about the full display: each print, its frame and the space between them.

A set is one complete product. Quantity 1 gives you the complete set described in the listing. The size selected applies to each individual print, and frames are not included.

Picture the arrangement

One row

Add the widths of all prints or frames, then add the gaps. This arrangement can work well across a wider stretch of wall.

One column

For a narrower wall, try stacking prints vertically. Add the heights of all prints or frames, then add the gaps.

Find a shared detail

A common colour, subject or style can help separate prints feel connected. You can also start with an already coordinated set.

Diagram is illustrative. Check the actual artwork orientation and frame measurements.

Calculate your display size

Use the outer frame dimensions if you will frame your prints. Otherwise, use the individual paper dimensions. This calculator is for equally sized prints in one row or column.

Enter every measurement in the selected unit. Changing the unit label does not convert the numbers.

Example: three 8×10-inch prints in a row, with two 2-inch gaps, measure 28 inches wide × 10 inches high before frames.

Try the layout before hanging

  1. Mark out the outer size of each print or frame with paper templates.
  2. Place the templates on the wall, leaving your chosen gaps.
  3. Step back and check the arrangement against your furniture and nearby objects.
  4. Check the product’s print count, orientation and available size before ordering.
